Darren Lundquist Last night while surfing, my leash broke leaving me stranded caught in a riptide with only a wetsuit to protect me. The waves had been super fun all day, but super intense as well and breaking really far outside.. With no board and only 35 min. of daylight left I knew that I was in trouble, I started swimming using mor...e energy than I have ever used. Wave after wave pounding on my head, leaving me with little oxygen, drifting in and out of consiencness I had a decision to make live or die.. I chose life and with the will to live I made it in with lungs filled with seawater and a broken leash, I lived. So yeah, I figure becoming a fan of being alive was the right thing to do.
