Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Illinois Bowl For Kids' Sake is 2 hours of fun with your co-workers, friends, and family! Bowlers receive free pizza, free shoes and bowling, prizes - and the satisfaction of knowing you have helped a child. Our goal is to raise enough money to match 100 more children. That means we have to fill the lanes with 300 teams!

To participate form a team of five persons (including a team captain) and pick a time and date to bowl. Participants collect pledges from friends, family, co-workers, organizations and business before their bowling date. Teams turn in their sponsor sheets and any money collected on the day they bowl. Big Brothers Big Sisters will collect any unpaid pledges, so bowlers will not have to go back to their sponsors to collect pledges.

A minimum of $75 in pledges per bowler is required to bowl.
Bowlers that raise $100 in pledges will receive a T-shirt.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Illinois We have 50 lanes reserved and we need you to help us fill them with teams that will represent all the banks in the area. Remember if your bank has more than one location, encourage a team from each branch or a team from each of the departments of the bank.

Teams enjoy two hours of free bowling, free shoe rental, free p...izza, and the opportunity to win prizes.

Banks will be recognized with an award for the most money they raise in 2 catergories.
1. Banks with 8 or less locations in the Metro-east.
2. Banks with 9 or more locations in the Metro-east.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Illinois December 11 is Clinique Happy Day and for their annual holiday promotion, Clinique is offering packs of holiday cards as free gifts with purchase, at select Clinique retail counters nationwide and also online, while supplies last. The cards feature artwork designed by Little Brothers and Little Sisters. The cards are a... great way to spread some holiday cheer this season.

You can also wish your friends and family a Happy Day and happy holidays online. In addition to their in-store promotion, Clinique has created a new Facebook application where ou can create cute, personalized ecards on Facebook, post them on your walls, and then share them with friends. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Illinois Between today and Friday, you can help Phi Theta Kappa members Light the Way. Stop by the tables located at the SWIC campus cafeteria or Barnes & Noble bookstore in the Liberal Arts Building to buy paper Christmas lights for 50 cents each. More than 450 have sold so far! Proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Illinois Enthusiastic, fun loving people are needed to organize bowling teams for this special event organized for O’Fallon, Althoff Catholic, Belleville Township East, Belleville Township West, Granite City, Central,
Wesclin, Carlyle, Mater Dei, Waterloo, Columbia and Valmeyer. Team members will help raise funds for Big Brother...s Big Sisters of Southwestern Illinois. Teams enjoy two free games of bowling, free shoe rental, pizza and the opportunity to win prizes.

All students, staff and faculty are invited to participate and teams can be organized from groups of friends, clubs, student council members or athletic groups. Don’t forget to wear your school colors or show your pride at the bowling party.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Illinois Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Illinois presents our first-ever Nintendo Wii Bowling Tournament! The tournament will give you and a partner a chance to compete for choice prizes from Riverboat Lanes.

The tournament will be held at Chez Marilyn in Alton. This classy, yet comfy establishment offers a stunning va...riety of cocktails to please your palate, as well as a menu of tasty tapas selections.

As you enjoy some friendly competition and put your bowling skills to the test, you will be supporting the important work of Big Brothers Big Sisters.

FUN & PRIZES
All playesrs will receive one free drink from Chez Marilyn and three free games of bowling at Riverboat Lanes, as well as a chance to win a 15 lb. bowling ball courtesy of Riverboat lanes.

The winning team will receive a Riverboat Lanes Party Package wihich includes three free games, shoe rental included, for them and 8 of their friends.


OFFICIAL RULES
1. Entry fee is $20 per team, cash or check only, and will be due at check-in on the day of the tournament.

2. Each team consists of two players. A maximum of 24 teams (48 players) may enter.

3. Teams must register by phone (618-398-3162) or email (jeffb@peaknet.net) no later than 5:00 PM on Jan. 18, 2010. Please provide players’ full names, and phone and/or email contact information. Team name optional.

4. All players must be at least 21 years of age as of Jan. 21, 2010. Big Brothers Big Sisters and Chez Marilyn reserve the right to check players’ photo identification.

5. The tournament will be a blind draw, single elimination contest.

6. Four teams will compete at one time. The teams with the higher combined score at the end of 10 frames advances to the next round.
a. In the event of a tie at the end of 10 frames, there will be a “sudden death” frame. Teams will continue playing “sudden death” until the tie is broken.
b. Scores are not cumulative and will be reset to 0 at the start of each new round.

7. In the event that fewer than 24 teams register to play, “byes” may be awarded.
a. If an odd number of teams register to play, a first-round bye will be awarded at random.
b. If the number of teams registered is an even number lower than 24, no team will receive a first-round bye. Byes will be awarded to the highest scoring team from the previous round.
c. No team will receive 2 byes.
d. In the event that the number of teams registered dictates that only 2 teams enter the final round, the scores of the losing teams in the previous round will determine third and fourth place teams.

8. All equipment and Mii avatars for the tournament will be provided.

9. Good sportsmanship is vital. Offensive behavior directed at staff and/or players will not be tolerated and is grounds for ejection from the tournament and/or establishment.

10. All results are final and may not be contested.

11. All prizes are awarded as-is. Gifts are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged.

12. Violations of any of these rules or attempts to cheat will be grounds for Big Brothers Big Sisters to disqualify teams from participating in current and future contests. Offending teams will forfeit any prizes won by fraudulent means.
