City of Belmont For those of you traveling through Downtown Belmont this afternoon, please remember that South Main Street is closed between the railroad tracks and Myrtle/McLeod Street. This area is where the New Year's Even celebration will be held, beginning at 8:00 pm.
City of Belmont There is a new sidewalk being installed on McLeod Street which will connect the existing sidewalk on McLeod to South Main Street and the downtown area. Please be careful around this area until construction is completed. This sidewalk should be completed by the end of next week.

City of Belmont The City of Belmont will be picking up discarded Christmas trees this week. Please remove all decorations and lights, and put your tree at the street for pickup. City crews will collect Christmas trees on the same schedule that they do bulk item pick up.

City of Belmont Be careful driving around Downtown tomorrow between 8:00 am and 10:00 am. The Girls on the Run 5k will begin at Stowe Park at 9:00 am, and over 500 girls, coaches, and friends will be running.

City of Belmont The Belmont Merchants Asssociation will be holding a special Friday Night Live on New Year's Eve. This event, lasting from 8:00 pm until 12:30 am, will be on South Main Street between the railroad tracks and Myrtle Street. It will include food and drink vendors, a DJ, live band, and small fireworks show.

Starting at 8:00pm there will be a DJ to get the festivities started. At 10:00pm Coming Up Brass will take the stage and rock us into the New Year with a Fireworks display.
