"It's not very hard to take advantage of restaurant staff, if one chooses to do so," Yael David says. It is a quiet weekday afternoon at Mona, the chic Jerusalem restaurant she manages. A small party is sitting in an alcove to one side, enjoying a late lunch.

Bema'aglei Tzedek Bema’aglei Tzedek, along with Beit HaLochem, Beit Hagalgalim, HaKova HaHafuch and the Jerusalem Municipality, invite you to attend Israel’s wheelchair basketball league’s final game in the Malcha Stadium in Jerusalem on Monday night May 4th at 7:15 PM, in the presence of President of Israel Shimon Peres and Mayor of Je...rusalem Nir Barkat.

This year, Beit HaLochem opened a new basketball team in Jerusalem starring former IDF soldiers wounded in action, which has garnered significant attention. Since the stadium where the team normally plays seats only 250 fans, Beit HaLochem approached Bema’aglei Tzedek for our help in convincing the Jerusalem Municipality to make the Malcha stadium, which seats 3,000 people, handicapped-accessible in time for the basketball league’s final game. Against all odds, a Bema’aglei Tzedek youth group, comprised of both religious and secular teens and funded by the Jerusalem Foundation, successfully waged a letter-writing and petition-signing campaign, which resulted in the Jerusalem Municipality’s decision to make the Malcha Stadium accessible to all in time for the game!

Please join us as we celebrate this historic game and occasion.

Suggested donations: 10 NIS – child, 20 NIS – adult.
All the proceeds go to Beit Hagalgalim (The House of Wheels), an NGO dedicated to the integration of physically handicapped children in Israel.

It is highly recommended to purchase tickets in advance: 052-838-5666 / mayabentolila@gmail.com
