Come to the Rising Star Creative Writing Competition Awards and help us recognize the winners of this year's competition for high school- and college-age writers. Winning entries were selected from 100 submissions throughout the Northwest states of Oregon, Idaho and Washington.
The Central Oregon Community College Libra...ry will provide a fitting setting for award presentations by the judge for each category and readings by the 2009 winners. A chapbook (anthology) of the winning entries will be available for purchase to commemorate the occasion. The event starts at 7:00 p.m. and is free to the public. A reception will follow the awards presentation.
