Benjamin Todd Jealous The NAACP and other civil and human rights organizations are encouraging President Obama to create more jobs as a part of his stimulus package. The NAACP wants to know your thoughts on the implementation and effectiveness of the stimulus package at addressing America’s economic needs.

In some states the stimulus package will work and in some NOT. Where I live, it seems that the package is producing. If states do what they are required to do with the funds things will kinda be ok (I guess). If we need to ask The Pesident to direct the money to job growth, then I'm all for it..I'll sign the petition.

The banking part of the package was supposed 2 allow 4 small business start up and consumer borrowing...That hasn't happened...This needs 2 B fixed.

The stimulus package needs more "green" job incentives. This will help heal our world while creating new green industries.
I am deeply concerned about the environmental condition of our world. I wrote a book titled Bee Quiet an eco-thriller, sci-fi novel. I invite you to read it for free at, http://readbeequiet.com
It is packed with solutions.

What I want to know is why can't Black people can not be service providers for Black Youth! All across America Blacks are being denied the opportunity create support and to help black youth the change the direction of their life just tell me why? Every other nationality can work with their youth but Black People have to justify why and what they have to offer youth. And are usually only people that allow to create support for Black youth are White.

That's great for new jobs, but some kind of education reform needs to be implimented. Why in the year 2009, there is still no African American history classes taught in my school system? My kids are only reminded or taught about there important black leaders of the 20th century in February!! and when they are taught it, it is by a caucasian teacher. Things are changing but we are still stuck in a rut!!

Benjamin Todd Jealous “Now is the accepted time, not tomorrow, not some more convenient season. It is today that our best work can be done and not some future day or future year. It is today that we fit ourselves for the greater usefulness of tomorrow. Today is the seed time, now are the hours of work, and tomorrow comes the harvest and the playtime.”

Public Health is "NOT" a Public Option! Some Dems and Reps ponder not signing the New Health Care Bill over "Abortion" provisions, when they have funded U.S. Abortion Programs in Resource Poor Communities for decades (without objections)... When I hear or see these “Hypocrites ” TRULY" speak out against Planned Parenthood (uses Fed. Dollars for so... See More ... Read Morecalled “deplorable” acts), then I will be convinced that they aren’t grandstanding as a result of being bought off by special interest, who make money off the suffering and death of the American Tax Payer that have been denied access to credible Health Care! This is America’s 3 a.m. wake up call… Are you sleeping or worried about being tardy for a tea party? http://www.TuskegeeNorth.com REFORM HEALTHCARE IN AMERICA NOW!!!

Benjamin Todd Jealous Dr. King told us that human progress is neither automatic nor inevitable...that every step toward justice requires sacrifice, suffering, and struggle; the exertions & passionate concern of dedicated individuals. I want take a moment to thank everyone who has ever sacrificed for the NAACP, and those who will continue to... advocate for progress for the Association and prosperity for our nation.

Health Care in the US is at an epidemic state. I concur that there must be something done...now. If others are sick around us without treatment, we are going to be getting resistant diseases and staff infections...that medication may not be able to treat. Do something now!

Benjamin Todd Jealous We’ve been talking a lot at the NAACP lately about the best ways to bring our message to our supporters. And I’m curious to know where you, our Facebook friends, get most of your news. Please let me know by taking this informal poll. Feel free to expand on your thoughts in the comments.

I personally don't hear or see much of the NAACP. It is only when a local civil rights issue comes to my town that MAYBE the organization is mentioned on the news. I think a great idea is to have young delegates in minority churches, High Schools and Colleges and so one with ENOUGH INCENTIVE to push NAACP issues and news to as many affected ... See Moreminorities as possible. I would also love to see a highly focused and strong effort to create collaborations with as many minority churches as possible. So that the churches that don't want to participate are indirectly shamed.

I am very greatfull to be able to read your interests. Thank you, and even more appreciative to just be apart of the whole thought, taking place here. Thanks.
