MONTGOMERY- Alabama’s Chief Elections Official, Secretary of State Beth Chapman, announced a new state -wide elections service developed over the past two months and launched today by her office which is the State of Alabama’s Official Election Center. The new website www.alabamavotes.gov provides essential and helpful information at the finger-tips of Alabama’s voters.

MONTGOMERY- Secretary of State Beth Chapman will be a featured panelist at the Pew Charitable Trusts’ Military and Overseas Citizens Voting Summit today. The summit will be held in Washington, D.C. In addition, Chapman appeared on C-SPAN for an hour long interview Monday morning and represented Alabama regarding the issue of military voting.

MONTGOMERY- Secretary of State Beth Chapman said her staff is receiving a record number of voter registration applications, as are many of the sixty-seven counties’ Boards of Registrars.
September 8
MONTGOMERY- Secretary of State Beth Chapman continues to honor her campaign promises to make the processes of the Alabama Secretary of State’s Office more efficient and effective for Alabama businesses. The Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) public records search capability has been improved to allow business users to purchase images of the searched filings online based on the recommendations of the UCC Advisory Board established by Chapman at the beginning of her term. The search-with-images system has been the most requested service from UCC public records users in this decade.
MONTGOMERY- Secretary of State Beth Chapman joins the National Association of Secretaries of State in announcing September as National Voter Registration Month.
“It is my goal to encourage every single Alabamian who meets the legal requirements to vote in the November 4th General Election to register to do so,” Chapman said. By law, the deadline for registration for the November 4th Election is October 24th, which is 10 days prior to the election.
