Eureka! Student Entrepreneurship Competitions Winners Announced
When: 16 November 2009
Joan F and John M Thalheimer ’55 Student Entrepreneurship Competition – All students in all colleges were eligible for these awards. Finalists were chosen and interviewed on 5 November 2009.
Michael W Levin ’87 Advanced Technology Award... – Award given to student venture ready to further develop and move its technology into the marketplace.
Innovation and Leadership Residency Program Awards
When: 17 November 2009, 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM
At the Victory Firehouse, 205 Webster St., adjacent to Lehigh University - The wrap up and awards ceremony for this new and exciting program where Lehigh students gain the firsthand experience of starting and growing a business from the inside, expanding their mindset through immersion with real entrepreneurs pitching to real venture capitalists, joining a network of innovative leaders and entrepreneurs, and learning how all the pieces of a start-up business interact.

Entrepreneurship is all about leveraging resources and taking action with the goal of creating value. The 2009 Global Innovation Tournament (GIT) is a fast-paced competition challenging student teams to solve a mystery challenge in about eight days, creating as much value and impact as possible. Speaker Series. His talk will be at 4:10 PM on Tuesday, October 13 in
Baker Hall, Zoellner Arts Center. T...he title of his address is: "New
York City: Past, Present and /Your /Future" which will be a look at
what has transpired in the Big Apple and what the future holds for
business development and careers.
L&L is a private real estate investment firm that owns a number of
noteworthy properties in Manhattan. They are at the epicenter of the
challenges facing NYC in the wake of the financial services meltdown of
last fall. Rob is quite the entrepreneur and is a very fine, engaging
speaker. In addition to his formal talk at 4:10, Rob will also meet
with smaller groups throughout the day. Send names if interested to

Lehigh Entrepreneurs Network Dr. Sameeksha Desai, who led a University of Missouri research team to Iraq in 2008 and again in 2009 in order to study barriers to entrepreneurship in two cities in Southern Iraq, will present preliminary findings of that study this Friday at Lehigh. She'll also speak about doing research during conflict and the impact of culture on research.
