I added a review at Amazon. Still working on a more formal review and some Q&A questions for the blog.
Best,

Hi Dinty. It looks like Panic won out over Desire, because the Erie Book Store already has run out of copies. I placed an order today and will review it on my blog (as long as you haven't revealed too many secrets from our shared youth) Congratulations! Lisa

SHARING SOME RECENT REVIEWS

“Moore forges a brisk, incisive, funny, sometimes silly, yet stealthily affecting memoir in essays and skits, a ‘generational autobiography,’ and good candid guy stuff. . . . Each anecdote, piece of pop-culture trivia, and frankly confessed panic and desire yields a chunk of irony and a sliver of wisdom.”—Donna Seaman, Booklist

“The writing is frequently very funny; insightful, too, especially Moore’s belief that humans are generally delusional when it comes to their expectations vs. what is realistically possible. . . . The narrative has its poignant moments, particularly in Moore’s recollections of his father. And despite his fractured take on the world, his message is essentially hopeful. Moore, it seems, is moving on.”—Robert Kelly, Library Journal

“Between Panic and Desire is more autopsy than memoir—a strange new hybrid. It's a fantasy of letting go of the things that have haunted Moore his entire life.

If Mr. Green Jeans was Dinty's aspirational father, and if urban legend was this same Mr. Green Jeans was Frank Zappa's father, which of the following are trrue:
1. Dinty needs to develop an avuncular relationship with Moon Unit and Dweezle.
2. Dinty is to the Mothers of Invention what Stuart Sutcliffe was to The Beatles.
3. Wowie zowie, your loves a treat.
4. That since Richard Nixon was ALSO Dinty's aspirational father, Nixon and Zappa were really the same person.
