A bit of an unusual wedding last Saturday onboard the HMS Caroline. It is now a training vessel for the Royal Navy but at one time it served in the First World War. There are a lot of nice images...

Nice email from Russell and Shirley.

Hello Alisdair,
We just got back from honeymoon in S. Africa at the end of last week. Thankfully no hallucinations on the malaria tablets and no kidnappings, so that was a bonus.
Russ and I had a look through the photos and we both absolutely love them. I have a couple of favourites ...– the one of me in the dress on the seat in the Redcastle is stunning, I also love the photo of Alyssa (the little red haired girl) in the hall drinking a cup of tea – the cup’s so big it covers her face! All the scooter pics have come out really nicely too. Really, there are too many good ones to mention.
Overall, we felt you were great to work with – really relaxed and I think that contributed hugely to the running of our day. I really want to say a sincere thanks.

Big Glass Eye Photography I liked this shot from Russell and Shirley's wedding. Lots of scooters and sharp mod style to play with.

Sorry about all the doubles guys but I had to allow for the wind. I think we've nailed a couple of good frames from every sequence.

HI Alasdair, I was looking through our wedding photos that you shot this time last year and realised that we never thanked you (We married on 19th July 2008 at St James church, Ballymoney with the reception at the Royal Court Hotel, Portrush)...

Big Glass Eye Photography I've been beavering away for the past month or so, refining a new site and thought I'd share it here. It's something that intend to let grow at it's own speed as for me it's enjoyable, and there's nothing kills enjoyment more than pressure. Updates will c

Big Glass Eye Photography Oops. I got so excited about seeing a bit of sun that I completely missed the deadline for the WPJA competition on Friday. Ah well, thanks to the structure of the competition, my images from January to March will still be eligible for the next quarters co

Big Glass Eye Photography I won - hooray! DP Review is a long established camera review and discussion site and has recently introduced regular competition on all manner of themes. This one was to produce a square (6x6) black and white image - just like the old days of wedding photography. Anyhow, my photo from Narrow Water Castle positioned first. Check out the link to see the rest of the results.

This series started with a general "Wedding" challenge. Now we'll remain in the theme, but with some specific requirements in each challenge. This one requires B&W wedding photos, taken or cropped with the ratio 1:1, remembering the old 6x6 (and other square formats) cameras.

Ha ha! Easy on there Dave. I guess I should have mentioned the 14th place as well but I was to busy poncing round the house thinking I was great ;-) Didn't even get my breakfast made for me.
