November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month and The Lung Cancer Foundation of America (LCFA) is an important new nonprofit whose mission is simple: to fund research to predict, treat and cure lung cancer. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in America – yet, up until now, most lung cancer monie...s have gone toward prevention campaigns rather than curing lung cancer. LCFA is determined to change this. We worked with them on Big Sunday last spring and were thrilled to do it. Now LCFA supporters will be hosting “Friendraisers” throughout 2010 in cities all over the United States to introduce people to this fantastic initiative. If you’d like to host or attend a local Friendraiser, get more involved with LCFA or if make a tax-deductible year-end donation in someone’s honor or memory, please contact LCFA’s founder and guiding spirit, the incredible Kim Norris at KNorris@LCFAmerica.org or call her at 310-375-0211. We would like to ask if there is a qualified dentist, with the ability to provide general anesthesia, who would be willing to see our gal.
