Bauke Have been 10x now to Amsterdam Bikram yoga studio, the teachers are great so is the space, but it is still yoga torture to me, I worry before I go, still hate it during practice and (I know how to relax and breath, but still overheat).....love it afterwards. Cannot wait for the day that I can say i love the practice li...ke you guys do. Just coming from full distance Ironman to Bikram Yoga maybe a bit different!

Andie Gregory Simard I have been enjoying studying your yoga under your guidance over the last 7 weeks here in Las Vegas, Bikram. You are entertaining, knowledgeable, funny, serious, honest, straight-forward, direct, challenging, unrelentless, and most of all loving. You can't hide the fact that you really care and love so whole heartedl...y. You are an inspiration. I am honored to be here with you. I can't wait to pass this wonderous yoga along to so many others who will experience the beauty that it really is. Thank you Bikram.

Edward Daniel

Edward Daniel Bikram Yoga is wonderful. Great for sore muscles great for stiff joint and getting over sickness. From my experience and observation it seems to have only one flaw. If you do the backbends incorrectly with too much emphasis on the lower back (and this is easy to do) you can get lower back strains and posture problems. ...I suggest a sacriligous thought. Do Bikram for everything and then a little Pilates for your back ache until you get the back bends perfected. I know I know, I can see the smoke coming out of everyone's ears.

Like anything in this practice, you'll get through the pains in your back. It's best not to fight with yourself. If you do, that's when the strain comes in.

For the back bends, be sure you are relaxed and breathing at a steady pace. If you feel yourself tightening up, back off just until you feel comfortable again. Next practice, go a little further...
