Bill Myers Well, I'm headin' out to beautiful, downtown Upland, Indiana again this Sat to teach writing at Taylor University for eight hours (how those lucky students can stay awake is beyond me) if any of you are in the area and want to say hey.

Bill Myers Howdy...if anyone lives in the Indianapolis area, I'll be flying in to teach a Taylor University class (the southern campus) all day next Sat the 12th and one Sat per month thru December. Each session is eight hours, but there's always lunch if you want to just stop by for a book to sign or a hand to shake.

Bill Myers Well, today I'm sending in the most important book I've ever written. (Not saying it's any good, just important). It's called, THE GOD HATER. Talk about exhausting. In truth, I couldn't be happier. My wife was up till 2:30 reading it, always a good sign.

Bill Myers Well, my new adult novel has just been released, ANGEL OF WRATH. It's a pretty intense read that includes among other things the supernatural power unleashed during worship. I like it and so far the critics don't seem to think it stinks. Feel free to check out a sample over on my web page at www.Billmyers.com

Bill Myers Okay, help me with the math. My contracts call for publishers to give me 100 books for each new title. I'm just finishing up my 104th book. 100 x 104 = AUGHHH!

Bill Myers This Van Gogh was my first understanding of art. When I saw the original in the museum in Amsterdam, its emotion was so powerful that I had to literally sit down. Like great writing, it not only engages the brain but penetrates the soul. Unfortunately a 2-D print like this (which hangs in our dining room) doesn't do ju...stice to the great globs of 3-D paint on the original, but go ahead and enlarge this and let me know if it does anything for you.

Bill Myers This is one of my favorite non-fictions. It simply explores and celebrates the wonders of creation. Sometimes the author refers to a Creator, sometimes evolution, sometimes in caps, sometimes not. Regardless, it slows me down, opens my eyes to the Genius all around me, and draws me in to worship Him.

Bill Myers People often ask why I'm content to be stuck over in the Christian section of bookstores. Why not go mainstream? In all honesty, I just find the other stuff boring. Forget the car chases, the steamy romances, the adventures, the you-can-overcome-the-odds-and-be-a-hero stories. They've been wrtten to death. But to explo...re the awesome mysteries of an infinite God...well, for me, that makes all the brain bruising of writing worthwhile.

Bill Myers I don't have favorite authors (just favorite works) cause poor authors can write great stories and great authors can write poor ones. But this guy is one of my favs. He's the grandfather of the fellow who wrote House of Sand and Fog. Don't expect "Christian" stories, just strong, insightful prose.

Bill Myers Another day, another four pages I hope to fix tomorrow...before starting the next four pages which I hope to fix the next day...before starting the next.....well, you get the idea. (The photos are the high school kids I get to mentor every week --plus a daughter or two).

Bill Myers One of the backyard waterfalls. Being stuck in So Cal, I do my best to make it feel like the Cascade Mountains where I grew up. 'Cept the rain. Don't miss the rain.

Bill Myers Whenever I finish my first draft and start polishing, I try to fill my head with great prose and poetry hoping some of it will sink in. This guy's my favorite poet; George Herbert. His understanding of what it's like to walk, stumble, and explore the glories of God is unsurpassed! As usual I've scribbled a hundred notes on each page.
