Benjamin Arie DeKraker Navy SEALs hit with CRIMINAL CHARGES after capturing wanted terrorist:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,576646,00.html

The SEALs being charged spent five years tracking and finally capturing a terrorist responsible for killing four Americans and hanging their mutilated bodies from a bridge.

Please pass this along. This... will not stand.

Navy SEALs Face Assault Charges for Capturing Most-Wanted Terrorist, Navy SEALs have secretly captured one of the most wanted terrorist in Iraq — the alleged mastermind of the murder and mutilation of four Blackwater USA security guards in Fallujah in 2004.
Max Kohnke

Max Kohnke Please forgive all of the typos in the previous post, I was in a hurry.

I wanted to make a quick comment about the pilot community re: the Pakistani pilots. I have flown with many Arabic (Egyptian, Jordanian, Syrian and numerous Iraqis) as well as Indian, Pakistani, Punjabi amd Israeli pilots as well as pretty much all... stripes of Europeans and Asians. As you poimted out, that language of aviation usually trumps all of the old world squabbles. They may hate Bush, but they love Airbus or love Obama and hate Embraer.

Aviation has a way of uniting people because they all face the same challenges and dangers while being drawn to a common calling. The smaller rotorcraft community seems to be even tighter. There is as much prode in low and slow as there is in high and fast.

Max Kohnke Just saw and commented on GITMO part 1. Great report as always. I just flew over Cuba comming up from Coata Rica yestuday. I could almost see Kew West from the northern coast and I mention to my F/A the very comment yo made about how many people have tried and died in those waters.

I want to make a suggestion if you ...travel back to JAX. I didn't put it on the PJTV comment section because it borders on a shamless plug for our operation. I fly for Jetble on the E-190. We go out of Long Beach. I think you guys would find it a nice improvent over the UAL Express CRJ. Free inflight live TV, snacks and soft drinks. You'd have to go through JFK to JAX or fly LGB to Austin to Orlando and drive 2 hours to JAX but we'd love to have you. (Let ya sit in the cockpit before we go).

In "Going Rogue", Sarah Palin quotes Thomas Sowell's book "A conflict of visions" on pg 385, and of course I immediately thought of your fantastic expose on PJTV; That cut just continues to ring true, Bill, and I keep posting it for my family and friends. Thanks again! K

Kyle Bill I loved the latest trifecta!! I about fell out of my chair when you made the comment about the hippies. As a college student (on a liberal campus, as I think they all seem to be) it's so refreshing to listen to people on the same side of the fence as I am! there aren't many of us willing to speak up in class... ho...wever, I'm a political science major, so I like to rock the boat as much as I can.

Keep on rocking that boat Bill! Not everyone in the young generation idolizes NObama. :)

Alex Landry Bill, did you watch any of WWII in HD? I thought it was stunning.

I did too. But I also felt it was pretty heavily slanted toward the "futility of war" aspect, and less on what was the popular mood at the time, namely, it was necessary.

I see, that makes sense. I was glad that it spoke the truth about the bombs though, I was worried how they would handle it.

ALso, I was researching the Lemay bombing leaflet, and I found that of the three versions of 2106 printed (I think it was 2106). Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and the orginal target of the second bomb were not named on the pamphlet. I also learned that the leaflet was for a conventional bambing raid. What do you know about it?

My Dada was a WWII Vet. He served in Italy in the Army as an Aircraft Mechanic working on P-38's at a Photo Recon Group. In his later years we would have many conversations about the war. I always sensed a little bit of survivors guilt because he was trained to be a Bomber Mechanic and should have been assigned to a Bombing Group but was instead ... See Moreassigned as a replacement to the Photo Recon Group.

His first job in the group was to be the Mechanic on a P-51, which they had stolen, that was the base commanders toy. He didn't even have a manual for it. He tells the story of working on it and hooking up the spark plugs in the wrong order. Fortunately there was also a Brtish Spitfire Fighter Wing on the same base and the Brits were able to get him sorted out as the P-51 used the same Rolls Royce Merlin Power Plant.

I would be interested to hear your response Bill. I still live here because the bones of what California really is still exists: the pristine deserts, the jeffery pines in the San Gabriel Mountains, the Redwoods, the rocky beaches, the Gold Country and the Sierras. Real pioneers came here and carved out a paradise. It's my state and the freaks and greedy sods can't have it.

Great point Shelley. Tom, I grew up in South Florida. This is simply the best climate, and the prettiest terrai that I have ever seen. It has to be, because it is populated by some of ther dumbest people, and has the worst government, of any state in the nation.

I believe I have just been complimented and insulted at the same time ;-)

No, Bill is right. Our state is insolvent, our government is corrupt and we celebrate the life of a dead pedophile because he could really sing and dance well.

Go out into the wilderness and it's easy to make all the idiots seem irrelevant in the great scheme of things.

Jonathan Baker bill please watch the first 3.5 min of this video...the rest pertains to the movie and is unimportand for the point im gunna make
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mWRVbWMvi7c

the part where he talks about the senator "not getting it" is the first thing i want to discuss...
you know i was thinking this morn about ur piece on... iconography and realized that the dems can "sell it" they do just that. when u showed us the stage for gop's convention that proves it... when will we realize that its not necessarily the message that the gop conveys that is rejected.. it's the presentation...
when obama campained .. he did just as the video said...he gathered people together and made them afraid off the government then told them that is was this horrible government that was making their lives miserable. then he promised change. "hope and change" which was of course not really an idea but an agenda. scared people make rash decisions, and the dems know it.

america is advanced citizenship, and the video is right. i don't like flag burning either. but it is the right of us as americans to burn the flag in protest.

you know.....one problem i see is that in the society we live in we want to be intertained.. when television came into america it changed the kind of leader we have. in the movie "The Amerivan President" (the one i showe) there is another part that talkes about this... Bush i believe was a good man.. but lacked the ability to speak. In the movie it was said that in america "we've had presidents that were beloved that couldn't find a coherent sentence with two hands and a flashlight". how true for bush. a real injustice to him.
sorry to use a hollywood movie to convey a good message but i didn't want it to appear that is was all my own words.

BTW if you ever get a chance go to ADAK and then ask to... see the ADAK NAtional Forrest and then be prepared to laugh.
