With corn-based bags and large bins hauled away weekly by a composting company, the city believes itself to be the first in the nation experimenting with dog waste composting at a park.

Larkin Street Youth Services is a transitional housing program for formerly homeless youth in San Francisco. Larkin Street teaches youth the benefits of composting. The outdoor photographs are of their youth community garden which was made with all recyclable material and grows flowers, herbs, greens and fruit.
