Mildred Smith

Mildred Smith I have been a student for about a year in the Doctor of Natural Health program....noticed that the program is not listed on their website anymore.....does anyone know anything about that? Do they no longer offer it? I just sent a message to my advisor but thought someone might be able to shed a little light on this for me on this site. Thanks!

Hi Mildred, the program has changed. However, we are still permitted to complete the program in which we enrolled. Email me direct and we can chat. I am completing the pre-reqs for the PhD in Natural Health.

Renee Brookbank

Renee Brookbank I am new to CCNH and am taking basic herbology. I have to admit that I am a bit overwhelmed with trying to memorize all the western herbs. Any suggestions or advice?

I feel that it is good to start using them and becoming familiar with their qualities. And go easy on yourself, it's nearly impossible to memorize the all the herbs. Think of it like making a new friend, and learning all about them- slowly. This is a lifelong relationship you are developing. Enjoy!

Lisa J Morgan

Lisa J Morgan Hi fellow classmates! I hope everyone had a relaxing, healthy holiday. I am just coming back after 2 yrs of "leave". I am sooooo excited to learn more! I have been using a lot of what I've already learned and am finally "almost" ready to submit my project for NH325 (a bugger for sure!). Any helpful hints as to whe...re to find safe exposure limits would be appreciated! I found 3 but need 3 more to complete and get on with Phase 2!

Monica Luca

Monica Luca Since I enrolled in the self paced program with Clayton last April I'm not learning that may have to enroll in the TERM program if I want me degee (BS) to be affiliated with the school once accredited. If I don't enroll in the TERM and keep the SELF PACE - wouldn't I still get the degree if I finish all the required c...ourse. I'm just really confused about the difference between the two program - not how they work just what they represent. Can someone help?

Even more effective is caffinated tea, which naturally contains theophylline - a caffine type drug that is sometimes prescribed for asthmatics... however, don't drink too much if you're a guy, because too much theophylline can cause temporary (only while you're consuming mass quantities) impotence! :)

Keep in mind though, that some of these problems disappear when you eat a good diet of fruit, veg, whole grains nuts and seeds, lots of water and little or no meats and dairy... even the symptoms of asthma can diminish.

Michelle McInnes I have toyed with the idea of getting involved and starting a program, I just want to know if I can get the kind of education I think is appropriate for this field and the kind of jobs I would pursue- also does anyone know about FAFSA for this school? Curious and I really have always been drawn to this school -it seems... so much differand now as apposed to 2003 where I first saw it.

Do you have florescent light bulbs in your home or business? If you do, congratulations, you are now a “hazardous waste handler”. The energy savings of fluorescent bulbs is NOT worth risking your health. ...

I found it informative and I wasn't offended in the least by the article. I don't think "congratulations" was a personal attack on anyone, but used to illuminate (pardon the pun) the fact that toxic waste has, possibly unknowingly, become part of our daily lives, in our homes. Thank you for sharing this article, as I was unaware of just how much mercury was in those bulbs.

The article was very informing but I don't think it's good to start a serious article on a sardonic note. I would not suggest anyone to use the CFL's for the same reasons the article pointed out. Most people I know do not like them because of the poor light quality and are stocking up on the regular bulbs. I was introduced to Spectrum light bulbs ... See Morewhich is the closest to "natural light" as possible and less harmful to the body. That's my concern after studying "The Ingestion Of Artificial Light". I suggest a good book by Dr. John Ott from the Environmental Health and Light Research Institute from Sarasota, Florida, called HEALTH AND LIGHT..
