Bitterside have always been described by many as a band, which creates catchy songs driven by powerful choruses. In fact a year after the bands inception, 2001, the band focused only on writing their own material. Bitterside succeeded in this by writing songs such as "Fire In My Pockets", "Drop of Wine" and "Fear (the fast song)" to name a few.

The boys gigged a lot, particularly in 2004 when "Somehow Different", Bittersides debut album, was released. An album packed with american-rock tilted guitars, sweet harmonies and groovy melodies. It sold relatively well and even won the band a Best Band Award at the BMAs 2004 edition. Bitterside created a high profile for themselves and their music.

By October 2005 the band stopped gigging and concentrated on writing new material to follow-up the album. Daniel had a lot of material up his sleeve and rest of the band listened to the new ideas for a whole month before dedicating themselves on particular songs. This was quite a rough time for the band because nobody was actually sure what the new material had to sound like...

Then came Shutters...

When Daniel played the song to the rest of the band, the boys realised that it was something special and immediately started working on the song's production and with Howard Keith's help they recorded a mighty song. Shutters presented the band with a new sound, image and last but not least the BMA BEST BAND AWARD 2006. The award was also achieved by the success of "Vs Life", the single release after the lengthy run of "Shutters".

The next single "Start Again" peaked on XFM's Top 40 Chart at No. 1 and climbed the Bay Radio Chart as well!

In November 2007, the band had the opportunity to perform on a mini-tour in Vienna, Austria in venues such as PLANET MUSIC where bands like Rasmus and Starsailor performed.

Bitterside have released 'Underrated', their much anticipated second album in May 2008 presented by the single 'A Selfish Cry'. The song was also accompanied with a video clip which is being broadcasted on major local television stations.

'A Selfish Cry' is received considerable airplay and made its way to number 1 in Bay Radio' s local top 10 and number 3 on Bay Radio's Official Top 40.

'Underrated' also includes two of the band's greatest hits 'Shutters' and 'Start Again'.
