Tate, littermate toTabitha, is no slouch in the acrobatics department! Here he is in his forever home, showing off his skills. Tate and Tabitha were two of our most timid foster kitties, and it’s wonderful to see how they haveblossomed in their adoptive homes.

We're officially a Non-Profit organization and we couldn't have done it without your support! Come celebrate with us before the holidays on Thursday, November 19th at Costello's.

Cash only bar and restaurant. Parking in lot behind building.

Did you know that black cats are only half as likely to get adopted as cats of ot...her colors? Our all-volunteer network in the Greater Boston area is dedicated to saving the lives of homeless black cats and kittens by providing quality foster care while actively seeking loving, permanent adoptive homes.

Since the fall of 2008, Black Cat Rescue volunteers have found forever homes for over 50 homeless (mostly black) cats and kittens in and around Boston. Now, we can have an even greater impact on the lives of homeless cats as a non-profit organization!

Please e-mail samantha [at] blackcatrescue [dot] com with any questions.

Jill’s husband Dana insisted he was simply not a cat person when she wanted to start fostering for BCR. But, being a nice guy, he agreed to help out in an emergency. Fast forward about a year and a half….. This is what Jill finds when she comes back from the shower every morning. A...

These are great! My husband "hates cats", too. 1 of my cats adopted HIM! If this cat wants to go for a walk on her leash at 12 midnight, my husband takes her. Does that sound like someone who hates cats? (I'm laughing!)

These two are beyond cute. Snuggly doesn’t even begin to describe Bishop, and Blake is constantly doing adorable, clumsy things like jumping into the bathtub without realizing it’s full of water and then making a big scene about his wet paws. Bl...

If I lived closer I would volunteer, but am sure you all will find someone who can work with the little one. I myself just adopted a little black kitten on Monday, who will hopefully be coming home today. Black cats are the best!

It’s so amazing to see Tabitha having so much fun in her forever home. She was so timid when she first came to us, but she is now at home with the right family for her. This picture is worth a thousand words!
