Black Magic Kennels Good run yesterday, but bittersweet without The Princess who is in semi-retirement. Wondering if Mark might be going into semi-retirement. His back has been killing him...we'll see if he can do the race this weekend. Sure hope so!

Julia Its a few days late- but we had the best time last Wed sledding with Mark! I am in love with the dogs and the sport now. Just wish we had more snow in PA! Tara and Steve were terrific.
Black Magic Kennels Brrr...-19 this morning. Sure hope it warms up as the Varsity Team is supposed to go on a 60-mile run today. Our last long training run before the first race of the season next weekend. Hopefully Mark's back will hold out, it's not feeling too good at the moment.

After today we'll have had people from East to West across the country; Brooklyn, NY on Sunday and todays clients...Hawaii! I bet their greatful they booked today and not tomorrow, windchill readings are predicted to be in the -25 range. Brrrrr.

Black Magic Kennels Both Tara and Steve get "Gold Stars" for their training performances yesterday. Tara didn't let go of the dogsled when she fell double-sledding behind Mark and Steve didn't get the snowmobile stuck breaking trail with Mark. Way to go guys...keep up the good work!
Black Magic Kennels The 30-mile loop is finally cleared. It only took five hours on Saturday and another 8+ hours yesterday, but it is clear! Today, Tara gets to "double-sled" on a run with Mark. Good luck Tara...it's kinda like skiing. Just remember, unless your life is threatened...don't let go! :-)
Black Magic Kennels We had a great time yesterday giving a DOG SLED (no more ATV!) rides to five members of the Haan Family. The other seven members went to another kennel and got face-slapping dog sled rides...that kennel owner didn't spent five hours on Saturday clearing the overhanging brush on the trail. Tsk, tsk, tsk.
