I agree with Marie. Also, I'm not comfortable with bringing the enforcement of heteronormativity into this. Maybe a discussion about how, instead of being throw in a cell, this guy should be supported in finding out what repressed desires are surfacing in the form of animal rape would be more productive for us.

I'm all about making cruising safer, for the cruisers and also for the people using the park for other reasons. I have no problem with cruising if they're respectful but have also been pretty creeped out by some of the cruisers by the river when the only reason I was there was to enjoy a walk and they perceived me as a single gay man. Mainstream ... See Moregay culture is just as male dominated as hetero culture and it manifests in creepy men leering and harassing. Since the need for cruising comes from sexual repression it tends to be pretty negative and unsafe couple that with the domination of gay men over other queers and you can have a pretty dangerous situation.

also, not just prison abolition as a neccesity, but prison industrial complex aboilition is a neccesity. Policing, courts, school to prison tracks, federal housing aid regulation, federal school aid regulation, immigrant regulation, and surveillance abolition, all apart of the pic are a necessity for queer liberation.
