Blog Fresh Radio
Heyo,
Hope everyone had a nice long weekend (if you live in America, that is). We've got a great new episode of Blog Fresh for you. Here's the link:
http://blogfreshradio.com/show/20080526/
On this week's show: We've got a bruised and jostled gig report from Hercules & Love Affair's first-ever show; brand new sounds from Brooklyn and Edinburgh; a return to form from one of the best UK groups of the last 20 years; and another worthy "Nord du Jour."
For any other show, that might be enough. But we've also got the punishing debut single from Brit upstarts Florence & the Machine, plus the 10 most blogged-about bands of the week. It's the perfect pick-me-up to having to come back to work after a long weekend.

Blog Fresh -- now 30% more topical!
The new episode is up. This week, Song by Toad talks about getting dreaded "Take Down Notices" from record companies. He also talks about one of the bands who issued a takedown to him, Modernaire, who he still likes. We've also got our first Norwegian blogger, Knute of Eardrumsmusic and he gives us the skinny on Cold Mailman. (I imagine they all are in Norway.)
Plus, we'll learn about a French reggae mashup DJ from an Irish blogger living in Texas, and Jim at Quick Before it Melts tells us about Manchester's newest buzz band, The Courteeners. And we'll hear a track from one of Manchester's oldest and best bands, The Fall.
Also: The ten most blogged about bands on our official chart. Check it out here:

That's right, we went to the famed South by Southwest music festial in Austin, and we got more than a lousy T-Shirt to show for it. (We did get a T-Shirt, though.) This week's episode is mostly "live" from the fest, featuring music from the Mae Shi, the Octopus Project, Ponytail, the Long Blondes, Tyvek, and more.
Blogs on the show include Idolator, Her Jazz, Ryspace, The Music Slut, and a report from one of the action-packed SXSW panel discussions.
It's all right here:
