We started BlogOnSisters to create an outlet for women to communicate about a diverse set of topics. Technology is changing too fast and creating endless opportunities for those who can avail themselves. We have a vision of women being empowered through their faith, family, work and relationships. Part of this is from our own stories - we have benefited by having an extraordinary circle of sister-friends and mentors who have been our anchors throughout our lives.

In addition, we have met women from all walks of life. We have learned from them, and grown personally because of them. We have been encouraged and inspired by their strength and ability to handle family, children and their careers — sometimes against amazing odds. Over the years we have observed that women, especially busy women, need more social outlets, more networking time. We are constantly amazed at how similar we are and how much we can benefit from our shared experiences, knowledge and collective wisdom. We also need outlets that nourish our mental health just as water replenishes our bodies.

It is our hope that BlogOnSisters will create a social networking community based on your ideas and your thoughts on a variety of topics and issues. So, this our humble attempt, using the blogosphere, to connect us globally. It can be viewed as your own personal tool of empowerment. As Dr. Maya Angelou once stated, “Each time a women stands up for herself, without knowing it, without claiming it, she stands up for all women.” Blogging gives you the opportunity to stand, speak up and let your voice be heard! It is simple to use and will give you the freedom to be you! Let this site become a place where you can relax and have fun, voice your opinion on domestic and international issues, as we all consider the beauty of our collective sisterhood in the blogosphere. Meet up with your friends and begin to blog on ideas of interest to you and your sister friends.

BlogOnSisters is designed for the person of faith, the stay-at-home mom, the single mom, the working mother who is trying to make it all work for herself and her family, the single woman, the busy professional, the teenager who is having a fashion meltdown, the woman who needs career advice, relationship advice, or the woman and man who simply needs to “keep it real.” In short, it is for us, and more importantly it is for YOU.
