LARGE number Greyhounds will need to be adopted - there are
aproximetely 900 at the track now. This is a great time to consider
adopting a Greyhound. They test the dogs to see if they are cat

It's "new" because this particular mutation of flu was just discovered in 2009. However, "new" is a relative term. It's still the same "swine flu" we've been talking about for the past few months.

Pet Poison Helpline Wednesday's Tip! Use caution with "home remedies" such as garlic and tea tree oil! Both, in high concentrations, are toxic to dogs and cats. A few milliliters of 100% tea tree oil can be fatal.

This is a great tip and one I wish more people knew about. I was a vet tech for 15 years and spent 2 yrs at a eastern/western clinic where so many clients would "medicate" their pets by dousing them in essential oils. One owner even killed her cat by doing so, thanks for posting this!
