Bloomtown
Welcome to Bloomtown's facebook page. This page will supplement what I'm doing at my primary site: www.bloomtown.net. I expect that it’ll be a venue where I can post a looser, more eclectic, occasionally off-topic, brand of garden-related content.

RODALE NEWS, EMMAUS, PA—There's something about this time of the year that makes people crave pruning more than vampires yearn for blood. With fall garden cleanup in full swing, maybe it's all the raking and mulching that has people going bananas. ...

Conversation on Twitter reveals what I feared would be the case. Not a treasure ... just another diseased hosta. Oh well, it *is* a beauty but will be destined for the waste bin (NOT the compost pile, as the virus can spread). Thanks to @JoshSpece for this link:

Bloomtown I guess you can say that I'm foul-weather blog poster. Nothing for months, now two (and who know, maybe more?) in one day. Sorry to clutter your FB feed, but it doesn't happen very often, right?

Just posted a video of the largest of them being craned into position. A very fun day indeed. The larger trees really help to lend a sense of permanence and stature to the garden right away.
