One of our state-mandated duties is to provide voter education services to the community. This past Saturday we enjoyed our booth at Blountstown’s annual Goat Day, where we registered several people to vote and assisted others with updating their residence addresses or moving their voting record to Calhoun County. Some... folks used the opportunity to change party affiliation or pick up a form to do so later. Voter Guides and information on Vote in Honor of a Veteran were also available. The younger set enjoyed the “Make Freedom Count – Vote!” balloons and “Future Voter” stickers and buttons, and it seemed that everyone got a “Goats Don’t Vote – Do You?” souvenir button (we ran out of them before the day was over!). The day was a great success and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing everyone. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth!Read More

Voter registration alert!! Do you know that 16-year-olds and 17-year-olds may preregister to vote in Florida? This allows them to take care of their voter registration in plenty of time before an election, which is especially advantageous if the 18th birthday occurs during the 29-day period when the books close before ...an election. Bring your teens who are 16 and 17 and get them preregistered to vote at our booth at Goat Day tomorrow at Sam Atkins Park in Blountstown!Read More
