On April 23, 2009, CFL will host our10th Dinner and Fashion Show (at the Dolce Valley Forge, King of Prussia, PA)!
This is a special event, but it is made even more meaningful by the fact that we are embarking upon our 10th Anniversary. Since 1999, CFL has been providing respite excursions for adult cancer patients and their loved ones - giving immeasurable joy in times of devastating crisis.
Thanks to support from friends like you, we have served over 3,000 women, men and children whose lives have been turned upside down from a cancer diagnosis. We look forward to a bright future filled with many more smiles, love and memories.
Online registration is available at www.crossingthefinishline. org. We are also selling raffle tickets with the Grand Prize being a trip for two to Kauai, Hawaii (winner need not be present). Please join us as we celebrate the beginning of our Ten Year Anniversary!

Britney Gorgia, age 37, has been treating for Non-Hodgkin lymphoma since February 2008.
In October, the Gorgia family traveled to the CFL-owned home in Davenport, Florida.
“Our excursion was so much more than I could have ever anticipated. Everything was perfect! My husband, son and I have memories of a very happy and stress-less week that will last a lifetime. My son still mentions the trip at least once a week, and we look at the pictures often. For me, the trip provided an emotional break and the ability to re-connect with my family. This has renewed my hope in the ability of strangers to impact someone’s life so greatly. Thank you!” Britney Gorgia

Linda Barila is a 36-year-old mother, battling breast cancer. CFL provided a respite to the Barila Family and it was just what they needed to get back on track.
“CFL should be applauded. Giving families a much needed and much deserved respite is something that no medicine can do for you – make you smile. We now have memories of our first real family vacation that will last us a lifetime. For one week, there were no worries - just freedom.” Linda Barila
