BoPoMoFo Blues Our second trip to Taichung last week (as reported on the BoPoMoFoㄅㄆㄇㄈ樂團 goup page) was kind of Rod Sterling-like, though. We were the opening band for a Beijing Opera Performance at the Fine Arts Museum. An odd pairing, that. Talk about a polite, reserved audience... Then we hi-tailed it back to Taipei to throw down some in-yer-face Blues at Roxy Roots for a jump up and git wit' it crowd of Blues lovers.
BoPoMoFo Blues Had a great time playing at the Taichung Jazz Fest. There must have been more than a thousand folks there on a Wednesday night clapping, dancing, singing and getting down to the Blues. Hallelujah!

BoPoMoFo Blues and the Muddy Basin Ramblers will be hosting a benefit performance on Friday at Capone's for the victims of the 8-8 typhoon and floods. All donations will go directly to the victims. Capone's will also donate a portion of the bar proceeds so here's your chance to drink like a fish for a good cause.

BoPoMoFo Blues have continued to get Friday's swinging at Capone's. But last Saturday was a milestone for the Blues in Taiwan when we played Roxy Roots - Blues & Reggae Bar, the first dedicated Blues music venue on the island. We can only hope that Elwood sees the potential of opening a House of Blues in Taipei.
