Books to Bridge the Region WOW! What a day for Books to Bridge the Region!! Mike Leonard spoke at Purdue University Calumet to... about 140, best guess? Debby Walker and I drove to LaPorte, where the official count was 127!!! It was standing room only!! Thanks to Purdue; thanks, LaPorte; thanks to Southlake Limo; and especially, thank you to Mike Leonard, a warm, funny man who reminds us it's the little moments in life.
Books to Bridge the Region Mark your calendars for Thursday, October 22. Mike Leonard, author of "The Ride of Our Lives," visits the Region. He'll be at Purdue Univ. Calumet in Hammond at 2 p.m., and at the LaPorte County Public Library at 6 p.m. Also, check the website, www.books2bridge.org for a calendar of all events: programs, activities and discussions on all 3 books. http://www.books2bridge.org
