Jimmie Griffith of Banana de Terra will share his Brazilian-style solo project, “MaisCeu” with us, starting at 11:00.
At 1:30, local talent Lisa Baldwin of Learning Through Song will join us with a performance geared toward kids with sing-along folk songs; and she will showcase her pop-up books.
Plus we'll be serving f...ree hot apple cider, snacks and fresh organic coffee.
So come warm up after the parade.
Elkland Art Center will offer craft making from 12noon-1:30 for kids of all ages.
We will be celebrating our two-year anniversary with awesome sales and specials throughout the weekend.

Green Mother Goods Join local auther Scott Nicholson for a book signing at Green Mother Goods during the downtown Boone October Art Crawl this Friday, October 2 from 5:30-7:30pm. Nicholson will be signing his spooky, mystery books of short stories filled with suspense and imagination: Thank You for the Flowers and Scattered Ashes along w...ith his novels The Red Church and They Hunger. These are great books to get you in the mood for Halloween!! Throughout the evening, we will serve hot apple cider and sample delicious chocolate and chips from Hold the Heat Raw Food Makery. August rolls around and one of North Carolina's premier music festivals is returning to Boone.
This year's festival will feature 3 stages, 20 acts, 13 hours of music, overnight camping available for Saturday night, a Green Village showcasing renewable energy, a 35 foot climbing wall, local food and craft vendors from the High Country, and will feature a New River Cleanup Initiative that will take place on Friday August 28th (the day before the festival)
