Join Peabodys, at the Bistro Roca, for a tasting of some of the wines produced by Ridge, paired with some tasty morsels out of Chef Michael's kitchen. The tasting will be about 1 hour, in a comfortable, relaxed format of tasting 5 great wines while enjoying some specially prepared food made to pair with some fantastic... Ridge wines. The evening will still be young when we conclude the tasting, so you may wish to finish your evening with dinner at the restaurant. The cost for the tasting is $30.00 per person, inclusive. So, dark beer lovers unite! Join Peabody's at the Dragonfly Theater & Pub on Friday, February 6th, from 7 PM until... for an evening of tasting 20+ different stouts, from the world over. A sample list of the beers to be tasted include: Samual S...mith Oatmeal Stout, St. Peter's Cream Stout, Hook Norton Double Stout, Young's Double Chocolate Stout, Guiness, Beamish, Dark Force, Peche Mortal, Jerome Irish Stout (from Argentina!), Lion Stout, Ellazoise Hercule, 8 Ball Stout, Highland Mocha Stout, Duck Rabbit Milk Stout, Wolaver's Oatmeal Stout, Rogue Shakespeare and Chocolate Stouts, and Big Boss Aces & Ates. It's 2009, it's February, it's time to go back to school. At least it's wine school!
Peabody's is pleased to continue the educational Wine 101 series of wine tastings at the Broyhill Inn. As with the Wine 101 tastings we have done previously, this tasting will be educational, with a specific focus on an element of wine..., yet relaxed and fun.
The focus of this tasting is an exploration into terroir, or looking at the effect of the soil as a component of a wines flavor profile. The tasting will cover seven wines from five European countries. The Brohill's fine food pairings will round out the tasting.
The cost for the tasting is $15 per person, inclusive. Reservations may be made at Peabody's by calling 828-264-9476. Payment will be made to the Broyhill the night of the event.Read More
