This is Carlos, one of the directors of Habla ya Language Center! He came with us on the hike to the volcano, and even volunteered to carry the heavy backpack of one of the students!!! What a gentle man!

This is our professor and guide Victor, who is showing us Boquete from where we are on our way to the top of the volcano! He knows everything about plants, history, geography and is fun to hike with!!! Thanks to him we learned a lot about the region

¡Hola! We got your email now. Don't worry, we'll walk you through it. On Monday we'll send you specific details. Most students can just show up and pay upon arrival (we just need their dates) but for someone from Nigeria there is a Visa process. We'll get back to you with more info on Monday. Have a nice weekend!

Climb Panama's heighest peak
At 3,475meters (14,500 feet), the Baru Volcano, is Panama's highest point. The trip to the top of the Volcano, which is no longer active, is an adventure for the fit and reckl...

Esa despedida estuvo de lujo. Este dia fue la última clase de Beth, Andrew y Paulina. !Los extrañaremos mucho! Buena suerte.

Erica
I recently spent 3 months at Habla Ya learning spanish and it was an AMAZING experience. The school and teachers are extremely professional, yet the environment and people are so friendly and welcoming. My teacher, Ericka, became a good friend and a good chunk of my spanish was learnt through chit chat and gossip- a great way to learn the language! Her teaching method was perfect for my learning style and I am now proud to say that it is a breeze to read a spanish novel cover to cover!
I also chose to take classes that would prepare me for DELE certification. Ericka worked hard on creating a mock exam for me, to prepare me for the real test....although it took a good 3 hours, the practice test made me realize just how prepared my classes made me for the DELE certification.
As for Boquete, I truly miss the town! The scenery is beautiful, the climate is perfect and the people are wonderful. Coming down to Panama as a single female, I felt very safe in Boquete. I hope to return soon!

Hey, ¿qué tal? ¿Todo bien en Canadá? Ahí nos cuentas cómo te termina de ir con el DELE...

Laurie Holland The famous Quetzal bird that we saw on our hike on Saturday.

Laurie Holland Wow, I've only been here a week so far and I'm already dreading to leave! I am staying with a host family here (the best family ever!) and studying at Habla Ya Language Center. The staff at Habla Ya are SO WONDERFUL to work with and learn from.....so are the local people here (they are very friendly and try to help you with your Spanish). I am especially impressed by the level of professionalism that this school possesses. They've organized everything for me (airport pick-up, home stay, eco-adventure tours, class schedule, etc.). I'm really enjoying meeting people from all over the world and learning about each of their cultures, as well as the culture of Panama. And the beauty of Boquete......WOW!!

Gracias Laurie, este es Carlos.
Cuando termines tu curso, tu español será mucho mejor!
y todavía falta mas tiempo para que hagas mas amigos en Boquete =)

Amy Me encanta Habla Ya! I'm currently learning spanish here- there is so much to do in Boquete, I'm having such a great time. Living with a host family is so good for my spanish, as are the 4 hour of classes! You never get bored though, the teachers end up being friends! I´m doing some volunteering in the mornings and adventure activities most weekends, or social stuff depending what i´m in the mood for. Tonight I´m going out for drinks becuase it´s one students birthday, and hopefully will get in some salsa dancing! Gracias por está opportunidad, Habla Ya! Time is flying by way too fast!

¡Qué buena onda! Nos encanta tener a estudiantes como tú... =) Por cierto... te ves bien aventurera en ese Zipline... o como dicen los gachupas: "tirolesa"!

Muchísimas gracias Habla Ya!!!
I and a friend went to Boquete in December 2006 without having an idea what is going to happen and in the end it was better than our expectations could have ever been. Living with a local family was the first step to get to know the Panamanian way of life :-)
And with Vielka’s help it didn’t take us long to say first words, to form first sentences and then, poco a poco, have a first “real” conversation. Best teacher ever!
Of course we also took part in the countless activities such like going to Caldera Hot Springs, playing ultimate Frisbee, doing some Canopy or just going out. One of the greatest highlights was the hike to the top of the Baru Volcano (“We did it!”)
It was not hard to get a member of this big unique family that will be always in my heart. Can’t wait to come back and see you guys again!!

Kyle Gracias Habla Ya!
