OK Boris...well done, thank god that man with the "flasher" raincoats and dreadful speech impediment has gone...thank god!! Please can you deal with the complete lack of communication between authorities and local government and police when it comes to roadworks and stop those ludicrous "traffic management systems".....you know in Manhattan they use real live people.....also sort out airconditioning on the tube or 2012 will be a joke!!! I don't believe it is impossible, that's just an excuse!! Oh and deal with knife and gun crime NOW!!!!!

The drinking on London transport is bad.So is the smoking & drug taking..I'm speaking from experience (that don't mean its me who does it lol) I have witnessed a drunken guy with a can of stella fall alseep on the back seat of a bus & when he fell the poor driver tried to help & he became violent..He then got off the bus as the driver called for help & he put a street bin thru the window then his fist..He vanished before the police arrived.I have also seen gangs get on buses then run riot with bottles of booze in their hands & most likely drugged up..I don't think it's a Transport problem alone though..It's life in London & all cities.

In relation to a couple of posts and agreeing with the one below, drinking problems on transport around London ARE huge problems and are very intimidating, especially if you're a female surrounded by drunken men in a carriage, angry that their football team has just lost.
Just because you personally do not see it does not mean that it doesn't happen. I travel alot from Leeds to London and as soon as you hit London transport, the stress and anger hits in heh.
Boris was voted for because he vows to tackle crime. Crime is rife in London, especially in the south-east. Happy slapping is STILL happening in some places and it's appalling.
He may be the fool, but the fool always pulls through and [hopefully] can prove he was the best choice for London Major and acts on his pledges.
