WE ARE BORN DESTROYERS
Exploding onto the Toronto music scene in 2005, Born Destroyers caught the ear of renowned producer Matt DeMatteo. (Hawksley Workman, Danko Jones, Big Wreck, Mobile). Sequestering themselves away in the studio for 2 years, they emerged with an innovative sound, melding punk, metal, and rock into a blinding musical fury blistering with raw energy and melodically hook driven songs. They developed a large fanbase, sold thousands of copies of their first EP, released the Ultimate Disaster music video which received extensive airplay on Much Music. By 2007, Born Destroyers had firmly established themselves in Toronto's live music scene headlining venues like The Bovine, The Opera House, The Horseshoe, The Reverb, Tattoo Rock Parlour & The Rivoli, by delivering a sweat & blood soaked, booze-fueled live rock show to hundreds of rabid Destroyers all over the city.
In 2008, BDS sank their teeth into writing new songs and honing their sound. They entered into the Battala Rockstars Battle of The Bands competing against 16 of Toronto's top unsigned bands. Judged for creativity, musicianship, & performance by esteemed music industry professionals Jeremy Taggart (Our Lady Peace) rock journalist Karen Bliss (Rollingstone.com & lowdown on the Canoe/Jam), & Juno Award winning music producer, Gavin Brown (Billy Talent/Three Days Grace) BDS conquered 4 rounds making it into the finals. Even though they came out 2nd, they were featured on MTV & E-Talk & continue to receive an immense amount of praise for their consistently devastating yet melodic performances.
In May 2008, Born Destroyers hit the studio with Matt Von Wagner (Alpha Galates, USS, Crystal Castles) to record the new tracks. The result is a earth shattering sonic assault of hook driven anthems such as Sinners & Saints, Obey No More & The Fallen. BORN DESTROYERS emerge full force Thursday, Nov 27th to destroy the masses, releasing the "Swingin' Axes" EP @ Reverb.

Since the release of their independent album 'Two' Vancouver's pop-rock Carmen and Camille have appeared on MTV's TRL and the Maury Povich Show, won MTV's virtual Battle of the Bands, have had songs featured on tv shows including The Hills. Carmen and Camille have played live shows in Dubai, Europe and festivals all over North America and just returned from a military tour and are set to play the Reverb on Nov. 27 as party of Born Destroyers CD release
