Northeastern University Libraries Author Hank Klibanoff and filmmaker Judy Richardson will visit Northeastern this Wednesday, Ocotber 7, for an interactive forum entitled “The Race Beat: Then and Now.” Klibanoff is the co-author of The Race Beat, and the current managing editor of the Cold Case Truth and Justice Project, an investigative venture betwee...n filmmakers, lawyers, and advocacy groups which hopes to fill in history’s gaps of the Civil Rights movement. Richardson is an award-winning filmmaker who will show a clip from her latest documentary, Scarred Justice: The Orangeburg Massacre 1968, which chronicles the Civil Rights-era murder of three black students at South Carolina State College. The talk will be held at the NU School of Law (65 Forsyth Street, 230 Dockser Hall) on Wednesday, October 7 at 6 pm.This event is co-sponsored by the Civil Rights and Restorative Justice Project, NU Libraries, the NU Law Forum, and the School of Journalism.
