UMass Boston College of Science and Mathematics Dr. Jeffrey A. Hoffman spent more than 1,211 hours and 21.5 million miles in space during five missions aboard NASA space shuttles Discovery, Columbia, Atlantis, and Endeavour. He was inducted into the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame in 2007 and is currently a professor in MIT’s Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics. ...He teaches space operations and designs and is involved with the International Space Station.
