Boston Movie Tours Following up on yesterday's trivia, Jaws is the biggest grossing Massachusetts movie of all time. Ben Garder is the boat owner who met a fateful end. Great suspense in that scene. Movie goof according to IMDB. When Hooper causes Ben Gardner's head to drop into the hole in the boat, it falls halfway out of the hole. Aft...er a quick cut away to Hooper's reaction, the head next appears further back inside the boat.
