Long story short, my vet saved his life with treatment. He is totally
back to normal and can see just fine. It was a prolonged severe
seizure that was a reaction to the vaccinations. If you look online,
you will find countless other similar experiences. My vet said particularly in older dogs, he is finding these kind ...of reactions more
common, and he is changing his protocol often by splitting the shots
up, stretching time out between (not giving the 5-in-1 every year as it
can be overload.) Of course, vaccinations are necessary, so please
don't take my story as a case against them. I will continue to give
them but will definitely be changing the time frame and way in which
they are given. Seeing my baby in such a horrible condition has made
me want to let others know what can happen. Please be aware that
seizures resulting from vaccinations are not as rare as previously
thought, so talk with your vet about what is the safest course of

He was nervous and excitable, his appetite was voracious, yet he
experienced noticable weight-loss within this short period of time. I
got up the third morning with the intention of calling the vet...when I
saw Pugsley, he was demented, completely out ...of it, holding his head up
toward the sky and not looking as if he could see me or anything at

Michelle Adams I just wanted to share an experience I had recently. Hopefully it may prove helpful to others. It's a little long so may have to be told in a few separate posts. My oldest male BT, Pugsley, who is going on 8 yrs. old, got his routine yearly vaccinations (rabies + 5-in-1) almost two weeks ago.
