Robert Clasen ('66) ('69), Chairman/CEO of Starz, one of the largest cable companies in the world. His company is also expanding into the film production business.
Repeat performances are a given at Starz Entertainment Group. A subsidiary of Liberty Capital, the firm operates pay movie channels, branded either with the... Starz or Encore name. Starz Entertainment Group owns 13 domestic channels that play about 750 movies a month. It also offers channel packages such as Starz Encore Movie Pak (including channels such as Starz InBlack and Starz Kids & Family) and MOVIEplex (rotations of theme channels such as Encore Love and Encore Mystery). The firm has exclusive rights to the first run of theatrical movies from a number of studios, including Universal Pictures and Miramax. Chairman John Sie launched the Encore movie channel in 1991, followed by the Starz channel in 1994.

Time slots are one hour and run between 9:30am – 3:30pm. Volunteers are needed to greet our guests, assist with registration, direct students to various locations, and generally hav...e a great time! Think you know a lot about the CBA? We even need students to answer questions at our ‘Ask a Business Student’ booth.
All volunteers receive a T-shirt declaring "I am the CBA." To volunteer, either stop by BA 253 or email business@bgsu.edu.

Bowling Green State University College of Business Administration Benjamin Zander, former conductor of the Boston Philharmonic and author of the book Art of Possibilities, will be on campus from January 19 through January 21. The College of Business Administration and BGSU’s College of Musical Arts are jointly sponsoring his visit. Zander is a renowned speaker on leadership who has m...otivated business executives around the world by connecting music and business leadership. While on campus, he will be working with a select group of BGSU students as well as conducting a workshop entitled “Experiencing the Art of Possibility.” It will be held on Tuesday, January 20, at 8:00 p.m. in Kobacker Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center. This workshop is open to the public. Zander’s presentation is part of the Dorothy E. and Duane H. Hansen Musical Arts Series.
