Tune in to 90.7 FM (or Listen Live via www.wxel.org) to hear this weekend's Florida Forum radio show: Sunday Nov 1 at 11am, and Monday Nov 2 at 7pm.

Award winning novelist, Jonathon King, talks about his latest book, "The Styx", a departure from his popular detective novel series. The plot revolves around an oft rumored..., racially charged incident on the island of Palm Beach in the early 20th century.
Host Ann Bocock also interviews representatives of "Guardian Ad Litem": Ellen Kranzler, who first volunteered as a result of an interview we did with this group awhile back, and Peter Braun. Both talk about this critical service to vulnerable children who need an adult to help and protect them as they make their way through the legal system.
They are joined by "Areanna" who now works in the PalmBeach County court system after spending her childhood in the foster care system and finally assisted throughher troubles by GAL. She talks evocatively about how critical the GAL service was to her getting to where she is now. If you'd like to volunteer, or need more info, call 561-355-2773 or go to http://www.guardianadlitem.org.
Francine Prose is the author of a new book: "Anne Frank: The Book, The Life, The Afterlife" . She states that Anne Frank did not just write diary entries, rather she crafted her writing carefully- for a deliberate purpose: to ensure it educated those who read it in years to come.
To order any books discussed on Florida Forum, we encourage you to go to http://www.wxel.org/wxelmall.html to access major online book retailers.
