Steffanie Siefker Spoke all day at Dexter High School on Nov. 6th. It was 8 classes. Exteremely long day, I was spent by class 3 but kept on going. Pretty exciting though, David Schwimmer was directing a movie abuot an internet predator at that school. There were film crews, trailors, and trucks everywhere.

I am trying to show it is not a stigma to have one and there are thousands with one. I am showing the importance to of not doing reckless/careless behavior and being aware of your surroundings. It was pretty exciting to be in a location that a movie was being filmed. Very long day and my feet/back were killing me.

Steffanie Siefker I spoke at Saline High School on Friday Oct 30. It went from 750-230. I had 5 classes. It wore me out and even during my 30 minute lunch break I ran home to change into sneakers because my feet hurt, but it was worth every second if one accident is prevented!!!!!

Steffanie Siefker Prescription Drug Abuse by Teens is more popular than Herione, Meth, and pot all put together. It is probably becuase of the ease of getting stuff. I got that from an expert at the Beaumont Hosp. Think First Conference about a month ago. OTC drugs are the most common.

Steffanie Siefker Okay, I still have some smarts, it just takes awhile. Here is the problem with the video.... The kids will watch it and think "oh sad, but they saved him, and he only has a brain injury." Kids need shock and awe. They don't understand how absolutely catastropic brain injury is ("Brain Injury Medicine" by Zaler,Katz..., Zafonte) and thier entire life will be new, social networks, gone forever, hindered intelligence, and aging prematurely. They need to hear "if you cause this to an innocent victim you're soul will rot in hell." That will stick with them instead of "I was luck and only had a severe brain injury." Kids will see that and not think he is too bad, and the chance that it will happen to them- they will think is even less.

I was a passenger on a motorcyle, an implatient motorist pulled out and struck the bike. The driver off the motorcycle had a second to prepare and ended up rolling over the car and skidding on the road, whereas I was catapolted and landed head first (no helmit) 90 feet away. I was 17 and wasn't thinking- I just went for a simple ride. My picture is in the photo album here.
