Janet Miller When we were having dinner there last night, I noticed a quilt on the wall. Does anyone know what pattern that is? It was fabrics of green, red and white and the blocks made stars. Hopefully someone from the restaurant who made it will remember the pattern. Thanks. I will watch here for an answer.

Hello again, Janet. Here's the scoop: the wall hanging was made by Lynn Wickberg of Westminster/Saxtons River. The pattern is called "Fanfare Log Cabin" and she made from a class at Country Treasures in Chester. Isn't it lovely?

Thanks Tristan for taking time out of the kitchen to chat with Deb, my work friend and officemate who was at Riverview a few weeks back.......did she tell you she had just come from the Conn. River cruises that I think are run out of the Northfield, Mass. power company? It got me to thinking, that if maybe folks who ...frequent river cruises in nearby Northfield were inclined to want to eat near the river after the cruise----that Riverview would be the logical choice! Do you guys have any brochures or other way to get the word out down there?

Menu to include salads, Grafton cheddar quiche, corn on the cob, BBQ organic chicken, more salads, fresh blueberries with cream and buttermilk country cake. Live music, frolicking, kid activities. Tickets at Farm Stand and Riverview. (Proceeds will be used to fund farm field trips for Brattleboro elementary school children.)

Assuming the first question is serious; organic chicken has to be fed grain that is organically grown and certified. If you are interested in learning more, it looks like the movie Food Inc. is a great opportunity for people to learn more about our food system. At tonight's showing at the Latchis there will be a small reception afterwards with local food and discussion.
