An excerpt from Chapter Seven of BraunAbility CEO Ralph Braun's upcoming book Rise Above.
BraunAbility Ralph Braun was named Employer of the Year by the Indiana Commission for the Handicapped in 1978. At the time, 40% of his office employees had disabilities, including himself, of course. According to Ralph, this lead to a natural awareness of the needs of people with disabilities and better product development.
BraunAbility In the ‘70s, The Braun Corporation expanded beyond typical wheelchair van conversions – like providing specially-equipped taxi vans for the city of Chicago and a customized tractor for a disabled farmer.
