Brisbane School of Hairdressing
Brisbane School of Hairdressing won the first ever Queensland IHS Battle of the Colleges on Monday 12 October.
For three weeks our selected students, models and Donna & Doreen worked around the clock to prepare a five minute stage show hair show spectacular which had to be inspired by current industry trends.
Brisbane ...School of Hairdressing were inspired by bright colours, geometric shapes and the idea of wild hairstyles, hence the students brainstormed and decided a circus theme would be appropriate and they dreamed up the ‘Big Spectacular Hairy Circus’. The Circus was nothing short of spectacular complete with Ring Master, Lions, Clowns, Acrobats and of course the beautiful and elegant Tightrope Walker!
Thanks to everyone who helped out for the show, the performance on the night was nothing short of spectacular and everyone at the Brisbane School of Hairdressing is extremely proud of all of you!

The Queensland International Hair Society (IHS) State Championships were held on 28 June 2009 at Sommerville House and Senior Educator at the Brisbane School of Hairdressing, Donna Molloy won the Senior Men’s Cutting section.
Donna entered six categories in total and taking out the Men’s Senior category made all the ha...rd work worthwhile! This category was a personal challenge as Donna is a previous winner of the section the win just proves she is still on top of her game!
Donna has worked at the school for nearly 5 years and has been hairdressing for 20! At the school, Donna helps to coordinate the schools involvement in the Shave-for-a-Cure event, the Brisbane City Council’s Homeless Connect days and also the school’s own in-house competition that was held earlier this year in the Queen Street Mall.
Congratulations Donna!
