Encounters Short Film Festival

Just a quick reminder that the LAST CHANCE to get a film into Encounters Festival is MINI MASTERPIECES, the fast film making scheme from Calling The Shots.

This year there are two exciting partnerships. One with Create Studio's who are providing a 33 foot Airstream Mediabus with production office and facilities for the ...film makers and Depict who are hosting a fantastic premiere on the Saturday of the festival!



Note there are NO pitching events this year (shame, but funding is short), so people need to send an idea/script for a 90 second fiction film, a CV (or personal statement) and a completed questionnaire (see website).

The festival relies on the help of its volunteers and offers a variety of positions and roles which provide valuable experience and exposure to those tryi...ng to break into the industry. Encounters will be looking for enthusiastic individuals to cover various roles during the festival including: info desk, greeting delegates and filmmakers, managing guest lists, manning the video library and delegate areas, supporting marketing and administration staff, supporting print transport staff, manning the delegate bar and other activities.
