OMG! That is an adorable picture and in my opinion should have won something! I think the next contest they hold should be pictures taken at Brookfiled Zoo only. The winners pics were nice but a couple of them definitely looked like the work of a professional and not your average joe with a camera. My pic i entered was a picture from the zoo (was not a winner either)- it's my facebook profile picture now.

Thank you Tina, Yeah this was taken on the way out of the zoo really 5 minutes before I left. It was taken by the fountain, He must of really wanted his picture taken, he posed for me! Yes I think the photo's should also be limited to the ZOO, if they are gonna host the event then at least all the pictures should come from the zoo!

Brookfield Zoo More than 350 photos were submitted for the Chicago Zoological Society’s 2009 Photo Contest. A panel
of professional photographers had the tough assignment of selecting the winning
photos, now on display in Brookfield Zoo’s Discovery Center
lobby through mid-December 2009. They may also be viewed online at http://www.czs....org/photocontest.

The grand prize winner was a photo of a
giraffe and her calf, taken by Mark Rosenbaum of Glen
Ellyn. He received an airline voucher for round-trip
air transportation for himself and a companion to any destination in the
continental United States, served directly by American Airlines. Winners in the adult category are Terry
Hillard of Chicago, first place; Suzanne
Ridenoor of Crystal Lake, second place; and Tony
Ranieri of West Dundee. Tom Morris of Bartlett received an
honorable mention. Winners in the 11-and-under child category are Rehn Stahulak
of Winfield, first place; Brody Stahulak of Winfield, second place; and Dominic
Williams of Schaumburg, third place.

The Photo Contest was sponsored by American
Airlines, Fisher-Price®, and snapfish. Photos were matted courtesy
of House of Color in Countryside.
