El Brooks Sports Congratulations to Nick Arciniaga of the Hansons-Brooks Distance Project who finished 8th overall in the Ing NY Marathon last Sunday with a time of 2:13:46--a personal record!! Hansons teammate Brian Sell, running in what might be the last marathon of his competitive career, finished 31st overall in 2:24:59.

His tears, though, were for his former training mate and good friend, the late Ryan Shay of Central Lake. Shay died in Central Park while running in the Olympic Trials two years ago -- the last time Keflezighi ran in New York.
