By definition kolaches are described as a bun of yeast dough with a depression or pocket for filling, generally with a fruit jam (the operative word being "generally".) Only if the icing does not have that bitter taste that some reds have in icing! If it tastes good-sure!
I wish y'all would stay open later. I like doughnuts in the afternoon or evening. I'm not a morning person! I would think that students, etc. might also like to get them while they are up late, studying and doing projects.
