Thursday at the Square

Neko Case was the only act I really wanted to see, but I still had a good time at the good weather shows. My chief complaint is that the season ended so early and my only suggestion is that you enforce the no chair rule. That really got out of hand at the George Parliament show. Okay, one more suggestion: More new and engaging acts, please! It seemed like half the lineup played the Square within the last three years. Change things up, diversity is a good thing!

OK.Thursday in the square should have gone on for a few more weeks.BUT Harbour place concerts are very reasonably priced and offer great music..Thursday in the square=party time...Harbour place = party time with folks that seriously want to hear the music that is offered. Gheesh.will every one quit bitching???

Donna, it was the same with Joan Osborn. She was great at the free show a couple of years ago and not so great at the $10. show.
I just can't believe that TATS is loosing money on this and has to charge people. Every other free concert venue in this area are managing very well.

I agree. I can't believe they dropped the entire month of August (best month weather wise). They had a good thing going. The whole event is in jeopardy of going under now. What were they thinking?!

Nobody goes there in August! The place completely dies out and then it SUX! The people at Buffalo Place finally figured it out...the other thing they figured out is that...starting the Square at 6pm doesnt work either...Back to 5pm start time! Thank god!

Robert Cray Band and Great Big Sea were part of Buffalo Rocks The Harbor last year, too, for $10.00 each (attended both). Pretty darn cheap! Especially when these acts cost much more elsewhere. There are still many free shows at the Square. Since Buffalo is nowhere as large a city as New York or San Fran, I think we're doing pretty well. ... I prefer to look on the bright side and appreciate what we are getting, versus focusing on having to spend $10.00.
