People need to pray and help educate the present. If the shoe fit wear it. Not all people are bad. We just need to do our duty to God and Country.

CBS7 News / KOSA-TV Tonight, CBS 7's Beau Berman looks at the Obama speech from a parent's perspective. Did it live up to the hype?

Kari

From what I saw on some networks the problem was not the speech itself (which is a good idea) but it was the questions behind it that children were supposed to write about..."what can I do to help the president?"...it was revised to say "what can I do to achieve my short term and long term goals," something along those lines. People felt that ... See Moregetting a good education doesn't have anything to do with helping the president and that asking elementary children to write about that was pushing politics on them and that is too young. We parents still do have the right to decide what our children should or should not watch at school. We're still the parents no matter what person from the government wants to speak through the TV to them within the school walls. I guess the revised edition was better suited, the controversy was before it was revised.

Why not? Don't our children need to know who our president is and at least learn to respect the office?
