On Tuesday, November 17, the City Council will hold a hearing on a paid sick time bill introduced by Council Member Gale Brewer which will make it possible for virtually every worker in New York City to take time off from work, for illness or taking care of sick family members or to address domestic violence, without b...eing penalized. We want to make sure everyone knows that paid sick time is a women's issue!
12 noon: Come and stand with Gloria Steinem and other women's leaders on the steps of City Hall to show your support for the bill and stand up for paid sick days.
